Who doesn't love Ikea?
They really have something for everyone, and as long as you know how to put together furniture - you can furnish your entire house on a budget.
I loved going to Ikea when I lived in SoCal, there was one just one exit up the freeway from work. I didn't go ALL the time, but I did go several times a year. It's been over a year since I left SoCal, and as such - over a year since my last Ikea visit.
My bff needed to go and get some items for her house last Friday, so I tagged along on the trip down to Orlando (our closest store). It was so nice to walk through their showroom again after all this time! :)
I am in love with this couch, it's a bit pricey for me at just over $1,500.00 but I still love it! I think it's because of 1) the chaise lounge and 2) it's so simple and classic you could keep it forever.
Kitchens, of course, are always my favorite section of the store. I love that this one isn't separated from the dining room.
I'm not a huge fan of the wicker-like chairs, but the rest of the dining room I love - especially the buffet behind the table!
I love love love Ikea's Hemmes collection, and these two coffee tables
are no exception. I'm definitely leaning towards the square table versus
the rectangle. What about you?
Another super simple/classic chair and ottoman. A bright/super fun pillow would be perfect :)
I really liked the bar in this kitchen, and the double ovens. Those suckers would definitely come in handy for this girl!
A combo of the nice bar, open area to the dining room, and double ovens. Aka, my dream kitchen space!
Love love love this dining room! I wouldn't put a TV in there, however. A nice piece of statement art would be more my taste.
I'm generally not a fan of beds that have drawers underneath for storage. I think it's a great idea, but I feel like it isn't very 'adultish' for some reason. However, I realize that my next place (much like my current place) will likely not have as much storage room as I would need, so something like this would become necessary.
I would much rather have a bed like either of the above. A nice upholstered headboard with no foot board, and clean, simple lines. Love!
There were so many other things that caught my attention during our trip, but I was so wrapped up in things that I didn't take any pictures.
My purchase for the day? A French press coffee maker. I'd been looking for one that was decently priced and a style/color that I liked, and I finally found it here. I should have known! :)
Where do you like to go for inspiration?

These rooms look amazing - I love Ikea also!

I've never been to an IKEA! Can you believe that? I do get the catalogs and see much I love. We may have to make a day trip to Atlanta just to check it out!
ReplyDeleteI love Ikea, we only got one here in South FLA a few years ago! I go every couple of months and spend half of the day wandering around the store.
