Normally when I go thrifting, I find cute things and then decide what to do with them. On my most recent stop at Goodwill (my absolute favorite thrift store here!) I went the other way around.
I had recently seen a few items on Pinterest that piqued my interest, and I found the perfect items to try them out with!
Wooden Changing Table - $14.99
I know what you're thinking, why would I buy a changing table if I don't
have kids, and don't intend on having kids for a good long while?
To make one of these awesome bar carts, of course! :)
White Long Sleeved Top (J. Crew) - $4.00
I can't wait to turn the boring white shirt into a fun ombre shirt like this! I'm thinking I'll probably make mine a shade of teal, because we all know how obsessed I am with the color!
And of course, I picked up a few miscellaneous items while I was there, because I just can't help myself!
Crew Hoodie (Champion) - $5.00 {I used to row in high school and college, so I had to buy this!}
Gray Embellished Shirt (The Limited) - $4.00 {I'm not a fan of the sleeves, so I think I'll try to change them up somehow... Any suggestions?}
Glass Jar - $2.99
Grand Total (including tax) - $32.84
I always seem to spend $30 something dollars whenever I go into this store! :)

Can't wait to see that changing table turned bar cart! How fun! Makes me want to go thrifting today!
ReplyDeleteA changing table-turn bar cart! Brilliant! We use ours in the laundry room, but I'm thinking it should evolve... (Maybe it will be a potting table first for a while.)
ReplyDeleteOh Amanda PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a tutorial of the ombre shirt!!! I want one sooooo bad!!! lol Thanks so much for sharing :-)
ReplyDeleteOh absolutely! I'm hoping to find the time (and the right color dye!) to do it this weekend :)
