DIY Ornament Wreath

Original post on "old" WOM: November 28, 2010

I've been seeing some awesome ornaments wreaths out there in blogland recently, and decided I should give it a go for my Christmas decorations this year. I decided to go with a simple coat hanger design, since my finger tips are still recovering after my fall topiary fiasco.

All you need is a metal coat hanger, the type you get from your dry cleaners, and a bunch of ornaments (I got mine at the Dollar Tree).

Unwind your coat hanger and shape it into a circle. I bent one side of mine up so that I could string my ornaments without worrying about them sliding off.

String your ornaments onto the coat hanger in a random fashion.

Once I got all of the ornaments on, I made a little loop and threaded some silver ribbon through it - so I could hang it on my door.

It's a little lopsided, which I'm going to see if I can adjust one of these days, but I think for a 10 minute project that cost less than $10, it's not bad!
